The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, along with World Health Organization welcomes the participants and delegates of the “4th Summit of Global Digital Health Partnership” scheduled from 25-26 February, 2019 and “International Digital Health Symposium” on 27 February 2019, New Delhi, India
India led the Digital Health Resolution at the 71st World Health Assembly in April 2018 in Geneva and highlighted global attention to the potential, challenges and opportunities related to Digital Health Interventions and need for closer collaboration on the issue globally.
The Global Digital Health Partnership (GDHP) is an international collaboration of governments, government agencies and multinational organisations supported by World Health Organization (WHO) dedicated to improving the health and well-being of their citizens through the best use of evidence-based digital technologies (with 23 countries as its members presently). It is the only platform with such a wide participation on the theme of digital health. With US, UK and Australia having done three Summit meetings so far, India has taken the leadership role in the GDHP and hence the proposed Summit is being organized by India in February 2019.
The Global Digital Health Partnership (GDHP) summit, 2019 will held in two parts in India- two days formal GDHP Summit on 25-26 February, 2019, followed by the International Digital Health Symposium on 27 February, 2019 which will facilitate wider engagement with innovators, clinical leaders, entrepreneurs and the research community. The event will also host an exhibition to showcase the best digital health practices with the participation of national and international stakeholders from both public and private sectors.
